Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

We drive across the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka pass, stopping at scenic viewpoints and small Berber villages. The first highlight is a guided visit to the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most famous kasbahs in Morocco, often seen in Hollywood movies. After lunch, continue towards Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” then follow the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs through Skoura oasis and the Rose Valley. The day ends in Dades Valley, where you enjoy dinner and spend the night in a traditional hotel or riad.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Camel Trekking in Merzouga Sahara Desert
After breakfast, we continue the journey through the Dades Valley to reach the impressive Todra Gorge, where cliffs rise over 300 meters, making it one of Morocco’s most stunning canyons. Later, we pass through the palm groves of Tinghir and the fossil town of Erfoud before arriving in Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes. Here, your Sahara desert adventure begins with a camel trekking experience across the golden sand dunes. Watch a breathtaking sunset over the Sahara, then enjoy a traditional dinner at a desert camp in Merzouga, followed by Berber music and drumming around the fire under a star-filled sky.
Day 3: Merzouga Desert – Return to Marrakech
Wake up early to witness a magical sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi. After breakfast, ride your camel back to the village and freshen up before we start the return journey to Marrakech. The route passes again through Ouarzazate and the High Atlas Mountains, arriving in Marrakech by evening.
