Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert
Your journey begins with a pick up from your hotel in Fes. We drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing by Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and Azrou with its famous cedar forest where you may see monkeys. After lunch in Midelt, we continue through the Ziz Valley with its long palm groves before arriving in Merzouga Desert. Here, you will enjoy a camel trekking adventure across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes, watch the sunset, and spend the night in a Sahara desert camp. Dinner and Berber music around the fire will make it a magical night.
Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, ride camels back to the village and continue your Morocco desert tour towards Rissani, a traditional town with a lively market. Then visit Erfoud, famous for fossils, before heading to the impressive Todra Gorge, where you can walk between the high cliffs. Later, we continue to the Dades Valley, known for its red rocks and kasbahs. Dinner and overnight in a local hotel or riad.
Day 3: Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou
After breakfast, we drive along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs through the Rose Valley. Next, we reach Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” where many movies were filmed. The highlight of the day is visiting Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most beautiful places in Morocco. Overnight in a traditional guesthouse near Ait Ben Haddou.
Day 4: Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
