Detailed 5 Day Morocco Itinerary from Tangier
Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen
Your 5 days from Tangier begins with a pick-up from your hotel, port, or airport. We drive through the Rif Mountains with beautiful green views until we reach Chefchaouen, the magical blue city. You will have time to explore its narrow blue-painted streets, visit the kasbah, and enjoy a relaxed afternoon in the main square. Overnight stay in a charming riad in Chefchaouen.
Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
After breakfast, we leave Chefchaouen and drive towards Volubilis, the most famous Roman archaeological site in Morocco. You will enjoy a guided tour of the ruins before continuing to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities. Visit Bab Mansour gate, El Hedim square, and Moulay Ismail’s mausoleum. In the late afternoon, we arrive in Fes, where you will stay overnight in a riad near the old medina.
Day 3: Full Day in Fes
Today is a full day dedicated to discovering Fes, the oldest and most spiritual city of Morocco. With a local guide, you will visit the medina, explore the tanneries, old madrasas, Nejjarine Fountain, and the famous Al Quaraouiyine University. Fes is a perfect place to shop for handicrafts and enjoy authentic Moroccan food. Overnight stay in Fes.
Day 4: Fes – Rif Mountains – Asilah – Tangier
After breakfast, we begin our drive back to Tangier. On the way, we stop in the small coastal town of Asilah, famous for its white houses and colorful murals. You will have free time to walk by the ocean, explore the medina, and enjoy fresh seafood. Continue to Tangier for the night.
Day 5: Tangier City Tour & Departure
On the last day of your 5 days tour from Tangier, we take a guided tour of Tangier. Visit the medina, Kasbah, Hercules Caves, Cape Spartel (where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean), and enjoy a walk along the Corniche.
