7 Days From Tangier to Marrakech – Detailed Itinerary

Your 7 Days Tour From Tangier starts with pick-up at your hotel, port, or airport. We drive through the Rif Mountains until we reach Chefchaouen, the beautiful blue city of Morocco. You will have free time to explore the narrow streets painted in blue, the small markets, and the Spanish mosque viewpoint. Overnight in a riad in Chefchaouen.

After breakfast, we leave Chefchaouen and drive to Volubilis, the Roman ruins that show Morocco’s ancient history. You will have time to walk through the ruins and take pictures. Then continue to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, to see its big gates and old medina. In the afternoon, we arrive in Fes, where you will spend the night in a traditional riad.

This day is for exploring Fes, the spiritual and cultural capital of Morocco. With a local guide, visit the old medina, the tanneries, Al Quaraouiyine University (the oldest in the world), and the beautiful madrassas. Walking through the narrow streets of Fes feels like stepping back in time. Overnight stay in Fes.

We leave Fes after breakfast and pass through Ifrane, known as “the Switzerland of Morocco,” and the cedar forest of Azrou where you can see wild monkeys. Then we cross the Middle Atlas mountains and stop for lunch in Midelt. In the afternoon, we drive through the Ziz Valley and reach Merzouga Desert. Here, you will start your camel trekking experience across the Erg Chebbi dunes to reach the desert camp. Enjoy sunset over the dunes, dinner, and Berber music under the stars. Overnight in a luxury desert camp.

Wake up early to see the sunrise over the Sahara, then ride camels back to the village. After breakfast, we drive towards Todra Gorge, a natural canyon with high cliffs where you can walk and take amazing pictures. We continue to Dades Valley, known for its unique rock formations called “monkey fingers.” Dinner and overnight in a hotel or riad in Dades Valley.

After breakfast, we travel along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, stopping to enjoy views of Skoura Oasis and Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate. Then we visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and filming location for many movies and TV shows. In the afternoon, we cross the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka pass before arriving in Marrakech in the evening. Overnight in a riad near the medina.

Your last day is for discovering Marrakech with a local guide. Visit Jemaa el-Fna square, the Koutoubia mosque, Bahia Palace, Saadian tombs, and the colorful souks. Free time to enjoy the city before the tour ends. This is the perfect ending to your 7 Days From Tangier to Marrakech adventure.
