Detailed Itinerary – 10 Days Tour From Tangier to Marrakech
Day 1: Arrival in Tangier
Your driver will meet you at Tangier airport or port to start your 10 Days from Tangier to Marrakech adventure. Depending on your arrival time, we will explore Tangier highlights like the Kasbah, the Medina, the Caves of Hercules, and Cap Spartel where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean. Day 2: Tangier – Tetouan – Chefchaouen
After breakfast, we drive to Chefchaouen, passing through Tetouan and enjoying the beautiful Rif Mountains. Chefchaouen is famous for its blue-painted streets and relaxed atmosphere. You will have free time to explore the medina, take pictures, and enjoy a traditional dinner. Overnight stay in Chefchaouen.
Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
Today we leave the Blue City and head towards Volubilis, the ancient Roman ruins and UNESCO site. After exploring Volubilis, we continue to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, where you can see Bab Mansour gate and Lahdim Square. In the evening, we arrive in Fes, where you will spend the night in a riad inside the medina.
Day 4: Fes Guided City Tour
After breakfast, you will have a full day guided tour of Fes, the spiritual capital of Morocco. Visit the famous Al Quaraouiyine University, the colorful tanneries, Nejjarine fountain, and the royal palace gates. Walking through the narrow streets of Fes is like traveling back in time. Overnight stay in Fes.
Day 5: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt
Today we leave Fes and cross the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane, known as the “Little Switzerland of Morocco,” and Azrou cedar forest where you might see monkeys. Continue through mountain roads and beautiful landscapes until you reach Midelt, where you will spend the night.
Day 6: Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga (Sahara Desert)
After breakfast, we drive through the Ziz Valley with its palm groves and kasbahs. We arrive in Erfoud, famous for fossils and dates, then continue to Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Here you will enjoy your camel trekking experience across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, watch the sunset, and spend the night in a desert camp with Berber music under the stars.
Day 7: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, then ride back to Merzouga village. After breakfast, we drive to Rissani to see its traditional market, then continue to the stunning Todra Gorge, a canyon with 300-meter-high cliffs. After exploring the gorge, we head to Dades Valley where you will have dinner and stay overnight in a charming hotel.
Day 8: Dades Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, we drive through the road of a thousand kasbahs and visit Skoura Oasis with its beautiful palm trees and kasbahs. We continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” where you can visit Taourirt Kasbah or Atlas Film Studios. Overnight stay in Ouarzazate.
Day 9: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Today we visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most iconic spots in Morocco. After visiting, we cross the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka pass and drive towards Marrakech. Evening arrival and free time to explore Jemaa el-Fna square.
Day 10: Marrakech City Tour – Departure
After breakfast, enjoy a half-day guided city tour of Marrakech. Visit the Bahia Palace, Koutoubia Mosque, Majorelle Garden, and walk through the colorful souks. After the tour, we transfer you to the airport or your hotel. This marks the end of your 10 day Morocco itinerary from Tangier.
